I’m a filmmaker, composer and pianist with a background in television, presenting and performance. After five years working as a director, editor and reporter at International Channel Shanghai, my creative focus has moved towards documentary, art film and composition.
I’m drawn to personal stories that explore identity, memory, culture and belonging, particularly the ways our past continues to shape who we are today. My work often brings together different cultures and generations, combining traditional storytelling with a more visual and poetic approach.
Music is central to the way I work. Having originally trained as a concert pianist, I naturally think about film through rhythm, emotion, sound and image. For me, filmmaking and music are not separate disciplines, but different ways of telling a story.
I’m currently directing my first feature documentary, A Golden Voice, while continuing to develop work across film and music.
